Here are all the hats I made for Christmas presents this year. These are in no particular order. |

Blue-and-white-striped hat, for a toddler. I used Kitchen Cotton, and made the pattern up while I went along. I especially like the jaunty topknot. |
Cream-colored cabled hat. This was pattern #32 in the Winter 99/00 issue of Family Circle Easy Knitting. I did it in Plymouth Encore, which is a nice, washable, acrylic/wool blend that is very soft. |
I did this hat in Regia 6-ply Crazy Color. I ended up making it a bit big, but, in the end, this is one of the hats I wanted for myself. It's flattering, and 100% hat-head free! |
Rolled-brim hat in Katia Reno, a luxurious wool/mohair/acrylic/nylon blend. I also used this same yarn to make my mom a hat that has a 1x1 cuff (like the Crazy Color hat above), but for some reason I didn't take a picture of the hat for my mom. |

Your basic Ann Norling strawberry hat, done in Reynolds Saucy (mercerized cotton). This was very fun to do, and pretty fast. I had to buy myself some size 6 Addi Turbo circular needles to do this one, so that helped. |

One of two stripey stocking caps. I adapted the Yankee Knitter Designs striped stocking cap pattern so it would have a cuff (rather than a rolled brim) and be knit in the round. I did this one in Plymouth Encore. |

The second stripey stocking cap. Pattern same as the blue one above, but I used green Reynolds Utopia (soft 100% acrylic) and grey Lion Brand Wool-Ease (acrylic/wool). These stocking caps were the other hats I sort of wanted to keep for myself. I might make one for myself at some point. Too bad they take twice as long as a normal hat! |
