June 4, 2004. Ah yes. Let's just look forward to once-monthly updates, shall we? I had a month off from school, and I had all kinds of grand plans for things to do, most of which did not get done. We did have a yard sale, which was a huge undertaking, but pretty successful. People really will buy anything. Though in the end the pile of things was still pretty large. I highly recommend Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui by Karen Kingston if you are at all feeling overwhelmed by your Stuff. We still have a long way to go, but the book is extremely inspiring and definitely led me to sell many things in the yard sale that I would not have put out, otherwise. I have also decided to take some of the choicer leftovers and sell them on eBay. So far it seems to be a not-for-profit enterprise since the items are going at dirt cheap prices, but we'll see if I can refine my technique at all. It's super fun though, I will say that much. And definitely addictive. And very easy once you do the first one. Maybe someday we'll be able to get a car into our garage! Henry is fantastic, and has just started crawling, which means that my next update will likely be sometime in December. He's very agile and fast, and is curious to check out all the exciting things in the room, like electrical sockets and plants. He is also getting much more into new foods, including such exciting tidbits as alphabet pasta and large hunks of bread. I started giving him jarred baby food when we moved in February, and I keep trying to stop but it's so easy. And then of course there was the time that I did make Henry some delicious organic food, and he was so displeased that he not only gagged, but started heaving. So dramatic! Fine, fine, I get it, you don't like my cooking! He also recently had his first haircut:
This semester I'm taking "Reference and Information Resources and Services" which is very interesting, but a lot of work to cram into eight weeks, so I think it's time for me to get back to my reading.

April 28, 2004. I see that the picture of Tintin below (March 30) looks like it may have been taken in our dining room. Or maybe he's in the living room. I can't tell.
Orange is the new periwinkle, I tell you. Or, at the very least, the new lime green. And we do actually have furniture. Really we do. I'm sure I have many more things to say but this is finals week in library school and I am very obviously procrastinating.
