March 31, 2005. World of Julie turns 3 today, and I turn 34. I know I'm old, because so far, for my 34th birthday, I cleaned the house, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and scouring the bathrooms. This is really what I wanted to do. I guess I'm either old or insane. Or something has happened to completely alter my attitude toward cleaning from what it has been for the first 32 years or so. Like oldness or insanity. I also used, for the first time, my oven's "self clean" feature, which was very exciting, let me tell you. Especially the part where I walked into the kitchen to see a small fire burning inside the oven. Glad I read the instructions first, so I knew this might happen (and I also knew to take the oven racks out, since apparently otherwise they would turn blue). You know, now that I think of it, my attitude toward cleaning changed a lot after I bought some Mrs. Meyer's and Caldrea products. So maybe I'm not old after all! She wrote, while calmly sipping from her cup of tea, before placing it back down next to her knitting. Sigh. And you know World of Julie is old, because this is not the first time I have mentioned cleaning products.

March 7, 2005. Believe it or not, I actually knit something. It's been a while.

March 2, 2005. You know, poor Peatie barely gets mentioned here on World of Julie anymore. But he's still here, and he's still a most excellent kitty. He especially likes sleeping on my pillow (with my head) this time of year, which I find alternately charming and irritating. Here's a nice poster-size photo of his own head.
Doesn't he have the coolest eyes?
